Rivervale is a township in Bergen County, New Jersey. It was incorporated as a township from portions of Hillsdale Township and Washington Township in April 1906. The township was named for its strategic location along the great Hackensack River and is the most eastern municipality in a location of the county known as the Pascack Valley.
