River Vale is a township situated in Bergen County in the state of New Jersey. The township was formed from portions of both Washington Township and Hillsdale Township on April 30, 1906. - Baylor Massacre Burial Site: This historic Bergen County park contains the burial site of slain members of the 3rd Continental Light Dragoons who were killed during the Revolutionary War in 1778.
